TREND: Slogan Tees

1/2/3/4/5/6/7

Don't get me wrong, I've never been a big 'have your inner thoughts sprawled across your t shirt' kinda girl, apart from my baby pink 'whatever' crop top I wore proudly at the age of 8. My toes curl at the sight of those cursed Topshop GEEK tees. There's just something about them that makes me repel, something a little...tacky.
However, I am slowly being converted. Once Zara have jumped on the bandwagon, I can't say no - that's blasphemous. A monochrome theme seems to avoid any cheap Primark bargain-bucket feel, but Wildfox also have me hooked on some of their pastel tones.
What do you think about slogan tees? Tacky or a trendy statement?

  2. I only like the ones that are really witty, but for the most part I'm reluctant to wear slogan shirts in case someone reads too into them or reads them as something I want to seriously say, you know? I do like some of these though!

  5. Totally Trendy. Actually, totally trendy IF styled correctly.

Haha I laughed out loud reading about your "Whatever" shirt from when you were 8, my sister and I were just talking about those lame-o shirts we used to wear. I had a bright red tank that said "Hot & Spicy" in asain font. Talk about embarassing ;)

    Great post and great blog!
